Blue Moon by Nana Mizuki

by on 1 February, 2011

After not posting anything for a while…Blue Moon by Nana Mizuki~
Okay, first of all, the lyrics confused me a lot and I don’t understand the translation, so if there’s a mistake somewhere, please let me know.

Hoshi wo kakushiteru utsumuita hitomi ni tomadou dake nani mo dekinakute
Te to te kasanete mo dokoka gikochinai ne yume no naka mitai ni waratte yo

The downward facing eyes that are hiding in stars are bewildered about what they can’t do
Holding hands are somehow awkward as we laugh inside out dreams

Yoru no kanata hibiku senritsu atsui mune wa sawagidasu

The melody echoes in my warm chest beyond the night

Sasayaku BLUE MOON te wo nobashitara sugu ni todoki sou na no ni
Itsumo yasashiku hohoemu dake de oikakete wa kurenai ne

If I extend my hand to the whispering blue moon, surely I can reach it
I won’t pursue the face that always just smiles gently anymore

Ichibyou ichibyou hikaru sunatsubu da ne hitotsubu mo kobosenai wasurenai
Kieteshinai souna hosoku togaru tsuki ga muboubi na senaka ni tsume wo tate

Second after second, the grains of sand glow; I won’t let a single one spill
The displeased moon is fading as I claw at its defenseless back

Amaku nokoru kizuato fukaku kizamu akashi daite ite

I embrace the deep scar that sweetly remains

Hakanai BLUE MOON doushite kimi wo suki ni natte shimatta no
Onaji bamen de togireta mama no kanashi sugiru monogatari

Ephemeral blue moon, why did I come to love you?
We have stopped once again at the same scene of a story too sad

Miageru BLUE MOON kimi wo omou toki watashi no jikan wa tomaru

When I think of you and look at the blue moon, my time stops

Nageki no BLUE MOON hatenai yami no fukasa ni nomikomareteku
Kanawanakute mo aishite imasu itsuka sora ga saketemo

The grieving blue moon is swallowed in the depths of the unending darkness
Even if it won’t be fufilled, even if the sky should shatter one day, I will love you

Eien ni omotte imasu

I will think of you eternally
