Orchestral Fantasia by Nana Mizuki

by on 3 November, 2010

I can’t find a proper video of this song, all I find is the live.

Anyway, this is a nice song from Nana Mizuki. This song is more about music and there are some musical references too~

Orpheus is a figure in Greek Mythology and sometimes referred to as ‘the father of songs’ for more information, Google him or check out Wikipedia.

Kona yuki ga mau yoru nara namida wo kakushi yasukute
Saigo wa afurenai you ni waratta
Soshite boku no TUNING wa kowareta GUITAR mitai de
Ongaku ni tayoru hibi ni hidoku naita

My tears are easy to hide during the night the powdery snow dances
I laughed to stop them from overflowing in the end
My tuning looked like a broken guitar
I cried bitterly during the days I relied on music

ORCHESTRA no chuushin de kimi no inai itasa wakatte
Hajimete boku no kokoro ni uta ga nai to kidzuku

I understand the pain of not seeing you in the midst of the orchestra
For the first time I became aware that there was no song in my heart

Dakishimeteitai kimi dake kowasu hodo ni zetsubou no ki no shita de negau
Ima kyoku ga tomari kawari ni tsuki wo mireba
Boku wa boku wa arukeru no deshou ka
I wish that heart will go on

I wished under a tree of despair that I may embrace you before you break
Now that the music has stopped and I looked at the changing moon
Will I, will I be able to walk?
I wish that heart would go on

Donna kirei na sora yori kimi no PIANO ga suki datta
Hanareru hodo kimochi nante chikadzuku
Nidoto modoru koto no nai sunadokei wo kaeshiteru
Yume mo toki mo kimi no zenbu kotta mama de

I like your piano better than any beautiful sky
The separating emotions are getting closer
There is no way the hourglass  would return them
Dreams; Time; Everything you possess shall be frozen as they are

Maru de ORPHEUS no tategoto sa GUSHA GUSHA ni natta oto wa
Deaeta ima no hana ni mo nanika chigau to sakenbu

The sound of the strumming of Orpheus’s harp
Shouts to a flower it has recently met that something was wrong

Mou ichido koe wo kikasete kuremasen ka iro asenai kioku ni nageita
Nemuru basho sae mo subete ga tooi keredo
Kyou mo kyou mo kimi dake wo omou you
I feel that grief will go on

Won’t you let me hear that voice once more? I cried to the memory that wouldn’t fade
Even the place I sleep, everything is far away, yet
Today as well, today as well, I thought of you alone
I feel that grief would go on

Kotoba nanka ja egao nanka ja inori nanka ja tsutawara nakute
Egaita asu mo nurie no kakko mo MEMORY mitai ni kiete
Kimi to iu na no tejou nanka ni kagi wa nakute
STRINGS no umi de samayou

My words, my smiles, my prayers won’t reach
The sketched tomorrow,  the picture of the past, will disappear like my memory
I don’t have the key to the manacles named ‘you’
I roam in a sea of strings

Kono FANTASIA ni owari wo kuremasen ka zetsubou no ki no shita de negau
Kurushii hodo setsunai MELODY wa
KISS mo koi mo PERIOD wo koetemo
Kienai BALLAD

Won’t you let this fantasia end? I wished under a tree of despair
The painful and sad melody is,
Even with the kiss and love beyond the periods,
A never ending ballad
